"A behemoth, Shai's presence is utterly dominating; towering to a staggering height of 6' 2", and pushing the scale at 179lbs, she appears the part of 'Big Bad Wolf'. He hair, falling just below her shoulder blades, is a dark brunette that challenges the black hair of her previous alpha- the only thing hinting at it's lighter color being the red shimmer in intense light. The locks tend to fall over her shoulders and slightly obscure her throat, almost in a V shape leading your eyes down her length. One of the more prominent features of this female is her face. An animalistic determination burns in her green, navy flecked eyes; Contrasting to the cool and focused expression she constantly wears in a way that suggests the woman to be a natural predator. Her form itself is lithe, yet clearly well muscled. Typically she's seen sporting light colored and breezy blouses, tastefully tailored with lace half-sleeves with the bottom trimmed in an elegant swooping half-circle. Black slacks are her go-to for pants, when she's not out enjoying a stroll around the city. Her attire while wandering the city is typically much more bland and reserved, but is almost always hidden beneath her large and ornate over-coat. A dull black velvet on the top, and the underneath a silky black with silver patterns depicting flower petals trailing in the wind from a full moon. Physically, there seems to be only two flaws to note. The first, being a large nick into her upper ear- a flaw she's had for as long as she could remember. The second? She isn't exactly Human.
Beneath the facade, the true predator lies. A large black wolf, nearly 4' 6" at the shoulder, is shai's true appearance. Her weight rivals that of grown muscled men- a whopping 217lbs. The ebony is broken only on her front and rear toes- the front being a stark alabaster, the back a steely gray. The only other imperfection of her ebony coat is the 'X' on her chest, painted in the same gray as her rear toes The large nick in her right ear is very much visible. Something poking out from under her neck fur, though, draws attention to only those looking for it. A ruby fastened onto a gold chain, snuggly fitted to her neck. In her human form, it remains hidden under her tops- keeping it safe from harm. She's had it for as long as she can remember, and treasures it dearly."
"Shai is not one to be toyed with. She is sharp as a whip, and does not take kindly to anybody who greets her with a 'holier than thou' attitude. She often comes off as cold, and all business- not one that would take time to play, or relax. Once you manage to get around her for a while, her true nature beyond the initial wall breaks through. She would sooner lounge around than go out and look for an activity to occupy her, and is kind to those that earn her respect and trust. She is very headstrong, though- once she gets herself set on a plan, she doesn't back down; no matter what the opposition. She is also very protective of her 'son'. A pup she took in and adopted as her own for his protection, when he was just a wee pup himself.
She often is heard at night, suffering from constant nightmares. She has yet to open up to anybody about what exactly happens in these dreams, and simply brushes it off openly as having taken a bit too much to drink and not being able to find relief for the headache. Nobody dares to challenge the notion openly to her- for fear of setting off her rather short and explosive temper."

"Shai's life was confusing from the start. She was born with a nick in her ear, an oddity in itself. But as the months went on, she started to suffer from constant headaches. Nightmares plagued her every night. She would wake up, screaming; or be woken up due to the commotion she was making. It was written off as nothing more than night terrors, but the pup went from a playful girl to a silent and miserable youngster. She dreamed of faces, of wolves she seemed to know. Sometimes, she dreamed of adventures- and playing with a red wolf- but most of the time... the dreams were unpleasant. Visions of her own death, of watching the wolves she knew be killed while she could do nothing but try to fight; fight to win, and conquer... but what was the fighting for? There was only bloodshed, and nothing gained.
As she grew older, coming on her year mark, she was able to start remembering the faces of the wolves she fought beside- but with it, a backstory she could neither confirm nor deny as dream or reality unfolded. She'd led them to what was supposed to have been their deaths. She dreamed of a castle, and of living with the nobles. Working with them closely. Drinking away her nights, wallowing in sadness for finally turning on the ones she'd been planted into. In her waking hours, she tried to piece together the dreams in a way that could make sense. The wolf in her dreams was obviously herself- in a noble castle; She was accepted, but only barely-- mostly, she was shunned and berated. It drove shai mad to chase these ghosts around her head. As she and her family, hidden in the city as humans, tried to make sense of their dream- a force in the noble houses was brewing. A few weeks after her first birthday, the wolves found soldiers on their doorstep.
There was no noble accompanying the party- Only the men wielding guns. Her parents pleaded with them in hushed whispers, looking back at their daughter frightfully as they seemed to scramble to get information off before something went awry. The soldiers seemed very interested in the information being swapped, and she was taken. As she left the home, and was in the car with the soldiers to head back to the castle, the distinct sound of gunshots could be heard. The young wolf froze, memories flooding her mind in an instant. Her ear- a bullet through her ear. Bullets everywhere as her pack was killed. Blood. Fire. Blackness.
She blacked out- soon awake though, in the Nobles castle. She'd been propped up in a chair, a maid tending to her with an ice pack and standing at the ready with a glass of water. She glanced around at the surroundings- taking in the grand arches above her, and the great steps that led up to a second floor- where, no doubt, the Nobles slept. It took a while before shai registered there was more than just she and the maid in the corridor. A older woman, cloaked in a dark cape and with stunning miscolored eyes, was watching her. Her own eyes widened in recognition- a snarl hitched in her throat, and instinct called her to lunge. To strike this figure down... another flood of memories, and her head felt like it was splitting open. Nausea set deep within her as she cradled her skull, a knowing glance upon this woman's face as she stared the young fae down. The woman watched shai for a few more moments before being smiled at. She seemed to beckon her, in a way she could feel deep down in her core.
She was led to the library, all the time recognizing a smell she knew well, for having lived with it for so long. The smell of a Wolf. As the woman came to a stop, and turned to address her, the illusions were dropped. Both stood before one another, on four paws. She was majestic, whereas shai was scraggly and still growing into her adult body- but her size proved to be promising for a robust and deadly creature. The woman smiled, a small laugh escaping her maw as she sat. "Let us Speak." were the simple words she stated. So- they spoke. Shai learned of the information her 'Parents' had given. That they'd found her, among a bed of dead lunar flowers. The scent had drawn them right to her- and they raised her as their own. Shai opened up about her nightmares, and her dreams of having been a Noble. Her size was mentioned, and compared to that of Lord Darcia, the Third. After more discussion, her knowledge and memories tested and cross referenced with accounts kept by a lord of the Orkham family- and a decision was made; She was taken into the fold of the Darcia House- all evidence pointing to having been Lady Darcia the Fourth, in her past life.
She was introduced to the other members of the houses, and was greeted warmly by most of the family- only a few turning their nose up at the scrawny stray the crazy old woman had adopted off of a whim. She was introduced to her only living heir- A son. His blue eyes were stunning, nearly leaving her with a gaping jaw. From then on, he kept her close. The two were inseparable- always sticking up for each other. They both continued to grow to monstrous sizes.. they fought and trained together, honing their skills. They sometimes were allowed to practice with the guards against the weapons they had. Another 6 months went by, before tragedy struck. The woman who had taken shai in and was kind enough to lend her name, was struck ill. She lay on her death bed, and made a request- that she and her son see to strengthening the darcia line.
Seeing this as a perfectly acceptable term, she and he started that night, with almost immediate results. She was registering as positive on the pregnancy tests, and they were quick to inform the Lady Darcia. She was happy- happy that her grandchildren would be of a pure darcia line. More importantly, happy her adopted child and her son would be the ones to take care of their legacy. She passed, halfway into shai's pregnancy. It didn't seem like long before the due date was upon them, either. The birthing process was done alone, as her wolven nature made sure to. Hours of labor and pain proved for naught.. all of the litter were stillborn. Malformed and disfigured, Shai was completely devastated- and did not have the heart to go back to the man who'd sired them and inform him of this second tragedy. She eventually would have to leave her hole, though; and after a few days, she was back at the castle. Before she could enter, though, guards were on the way out- murmuring of another wolf pack in the city.
Her interest piqued, she quickly turned to catch up with the soldiers; Anything to serve as a distraction to further delay the news she had to bring. She promised to sit and merely spectate, much to the relief of her guards who knew her to often take charge with reckless abandon. It was much as it was when the forces had to come to her when she was young. The stoic knocking at the door went unanswered... within, she could hear them. They were scrambling quietly, whispering about.. something. Likely how much longer they could avoid the door before her troupe went away. She gave a sharp tap on one of their shoulders, and gave a nod to the door. The wooden material splintered as the bodies rushed into the house, startled yells and cries from within met with angry shouts and commands. She herself trickled in with the last, the only calm among the commotion.
The majority of the soldiers made their way through the rest of the house, looking for any more wolves that may have been hiding. Only two remained to detain the four they found, guns trained on them. A wife, her face washed with fear and tears, was huddled behind a husband who openly sneered and growled at the strangers in his home. A younger son was cornered away from them, his human teenaged form quivering with rage and fear. Upon her entrance, though, all of their eyes were on here, widened slightly in recognition as her scent washed over them. She glared down the length of her nose at them, scrutinizing the three of them heavily before she caught sight of it-- their fourth member. It was nothing but a bundle in it's mothers arms.. and a hard pit formed in her stomach. She knew the fate of these strays.
The tension between them was thick in the air, the anger in the man's face turning from rage to fright, the woman's face melting into a look of horror, and the boy's expression focusing on sheer terror as Shai moved forward. The guards protested, loudly, but were soon silenced when she let her cold gaze cut back over her shoulder. She let her form stop before the husband, glowering down at him. "Move." The command was simple, and her voice made him flinch back. He caught himself, and snarled angrily at her, his illusion flickering. Thoroughly unamused now with his disobedience, she let her own growl rumble in her chest. "I promise you, you do not want me to be the one that strikes you down, here and now. MOVE, or I will make you." Her words were slow and purposeful, and a hand appeared on his shoulder.
He silenced himself, looking back over his shoulder to the wife, who continued to slowly ease him out of her way. She stood, staggering with the weight of her still-large stomach. The bundle moved, and she couldn't help but let her eyes train upon it. She reached out as it was offered to her, cradling it carefully and pulling back the swaddle to look upon it's face. The pup, a boy, was only a week old maximum. His fur was silvery, with streaks of brown and black. A warm feeling budded in her chest, and she withdrew a few steps, leaving the woman to crumple to the floor in sobs as her mate comforted her. She looked to her one last time, and gave a nod. Their pup would be safe, for the guards and soldiers knew better than to meddle in business that was not their own.
Their other son was rounded up with his parents, the three of the huddled together now, knowing what was coming. She took the pup into her coat, making her way to the door. A guard stopped her outside, standing at attention before her. "What are your Orders, My Lady.." She looked him up and down, as if he was an idiot for asking. She cast a look back into the home, and barely spent a moment on the thought before turning back to him. "What they always are-- destroy them." She couldn't see his face behind the helmet visor, but she noticed his form deflate at her words. He paused for a second longer than she would have liked, but he righted himself. "Yes, My Lady." He nodded, and moved back into the home as she was loaded into her private vehicle. She steeled herself for the noise of gunfire that soon erupted, along with the pained yelps and wails of the family she had just ordered the execution of.
The sounds haunted her, all the way back to the castle.. and sometimes, still to this day.
Her mate had been out that day attending to business around the city, much to her relief upon her arrival. She made quick work of bringing her new addition into the house, cleaning him up and ridding him of the stench of his now deceased family. She rested, the pain of the recent loss stinging again as the new pup suckled from her. A few hours of silence proved helpful. She could focus on how exactly she would bring this news to the Lord.. but couldn't think of any excuse that wouldn't arouse suspicion. So, she decided that she wouldn't. For almost a month, it worked.
He was oblivious to the fact that this pup could not have been his son-- The brown and silver explained away as being genes from some long unknown relative, both close variants of black, though. It was only when the pup was beginning to play with his illusion did he suspect anything amiss. The child looked nothing like him, and after confronting Shai with accusations of infidelity, she confirmed that he was indeed not the father of this pup... but then, neither was shai the mother. She told him, then, the entire story.
He was confused, and angry; A deep grief over-took him, knowing his blood had died before truly having been born, and then rage at the fact she would have kept this a secret from him for so long. He grew angry, and words flew between the two; the innocent pup watching curiously. It wasn't until he made the fatal mistake of moving to strike the pup did shai draw blood. She easily slung him away, canines piercing deep into into his arm. The fight that ensued was chaotic, and resulted in many broken items. Broken chairs, broken tables, and broken hearts. He left, for a long while- leaving shai to look after the pup and the Darcia House. The more time she spent with this pup, whom she'd come to name Kane, her frequent headaches returned. Dreams from her childhood plagued her once more, and memories filled her head during the day.
She secluded herself to the castle- keeping a close eye on her people and her son from behind closed doors. It was another year before the Darcia son returned- and both were detached and bitter towards one another. She kept an extra close eye on her adopted son, then. With her former lover back, she has grown into a more hostile and cold personality- and the odd memories and dreams still plague her.
