Blurring and stirring the truth and the lies so I don't know what's real and what's not; always confusing the thoughts in my head, so I can't trust myself anymore...
— Amaya Kanashimi
The snow was light, the blizzard having passed with the dusk. The crunch under small and dainty feet clad in black winter boots was barely noticeable but massively significant in the practically dead silence. She kept her mitten-enveloped hands in her pockets. It was never very loud until incidents began to occur, at least not in this area of the city. What was she doing around here? Aimless. Wanderer. She had no purpose here - but then again, she had no purpose anywhere else. She was alone. Always alone. She couldn't help but wonder, sometimes, about whether or not she truly belonged; why was it that she always suffered from the fact that she had some sort of significance from birth? It was nothing that she wished for. But then, she remembered; she had no choice in the matter. Never did, never will. She could have scoffed - but that would be a waste of warm breath.
With flowing black hair, under her light gray winter beanie, in a frenzy along the shoulders and back of her deep crimson winter blazer, the shadowed maiden slowly made her way deeper into the area of Milax, unbeknownst to her. Not that she was going to be in any danger. All throughout her life, she had learned to handle threats efficiently; if any wretched human dared to attempt anything ludicrous, she would easily put them in their place. And if they were animals, in the literal sense, then they would face the wrath of her own beast. In all honesty, however, she was not a fan of reckless violence. Her steady moonstones, directed toward the ground at a slight angle, were unwavering, emotionless. Not filled with battle-lust. Logically, it was idiotic to attack others unless the need arrived; if she could not get them to back down, she would just have to face it.
That problem never arrived, however. Despite the tranquil appearance, the dainty and fragile-seeming figure - probably tempting considering the fact she was not wearing warm pants but a light gray skirt that went to an inch above her knee, with leggings under them, of course - exerted the air that was to not be trifled with. One that had a strange kind of dark confidence, one that seemed to add a mysterious air to her. One that seemed to create a mental shield around her; several heads turned and advanced toward her, but the moment she tilted her cranium to glance at them through her peripheral vision, they hesitated and turned tail. There was no spoken threat. Only a threat exhibited through her body language. She remembered the time of her rape - at least, it was what she believed was hers. In a past life. Memories she didn't want to remember. And a time she was determined to never repeat again. No one was going to touch her. Ever again.
What did touch her, however, was the cold. The wind picked up again; while she was grateful, in human form, for the increasing winds blowing away the blizzard with haste, the strength still pierced through her few layers and into her skin. If only she could return to wolven form within these wicked cities; any time she could spot or even smell a noble castle, she knew that nowhere near would be safe for a wolf. Honestly, she should have stayed in the forests. But she was hungry; she had skipped hunting out of habit for a couple of weeks now, threatening to return to her own ways of self-negligence. However, because she knew she needed to keep her strengths up, the quickest way for food - no matter how disgusting - was within the cities.
A kind of diner scent wafted into her nose through the wind; however, her nostrils flared slightly, recognizing and alcohol scent mingled with it. She was half-tempted to pass up the chance at food, but when her stomach growled, she decided that it was probably best to just go and look to see if the alcohol was from customers' orders rather than a bar. She sighed; one could only hope.
Turning slightly, scent glands honing in on the scent of a potentially decent dinner, she carefully picked her way through the unfamiliar areas. While she had probably passed through each city within an eighty mile radius at least once throughout her life - which, honestly, weren't that many in this world - she had never bothered to familiarize herself with any of them. At least she was animalistic rather than foolish like humans. Soon enough, her sense of direction and sense of smell led her to a rather run-down building. Her nostrils wrinkled slightly. The alcohol scent had grown stronger.. Sighing, she shrugged; hopefully the interior would be more promising..
Half-tempted to hold her breath, she walked steadily and slowly through the entrance, silver gaze scanning her new surroundings. She could have coughed; it honestly wasn't that great of a place, and the whiffs of food didn't seem worth it compared to the suffocating air in this place. She took one glance at the bar counter, wondering who the Hell would create a place like this and run it. There were only two people; a girl and a.. man? No. That wasn't a man. Even through the thickness of the air, his scent was wolven. She knew for certain. It was nothing new, right? Then why was she hesitating to leave? She took a closer look. There was a pang of familiarity.. like she should have known him.. Like her nightmares. She blinked, narrowing her optics temporarily. Why was he familiar..?
Suddenly, she noticed a few dirty looks directed toward her. From the dance floor, as well as the farthest corner from her. The bar or diner or whatever it was abruptly seemed even less inviting. Her hands shifting toward the edges of her winter blazer's pockets, she prepared for anyone who was stupid enough to touch her and turned around toward the entrance again. This place wasn't going to be worth her time.

Blue's Descendant|| Vagabond || 3 || 23 || Single"Touch my mouth and hold my tongue I'll never be your chosen one I'll be home safely tucked away Well you can't tempt me if I don't see the day"
"Some blizzard out there tonigh', eh?" A drunken slur could just be heard under his tone and vowels as the man leaned on the counter, blue eyes fixed on the window and the snow that pelted and pattered the glass. There was a neon sign proclaiming OPEN rather brightly, but even with its light pollution one could still easily see outside.
"I have actually seen worse. Much worse. You could not see a foot in front of your face." The bar tender said casually as he cleaned a glass in his hand before moving to put it back in its rightful place, a small, easy going smirk to his lips as he looked back to the drunken man. Emeralds sized him up; he'd been there for a few hours now, and Seiko knew quite easily that he was beyond drunk. Thankfully, he seemed to be a rather relaxed fellow while drunk, quite unlike the man he had just had to throw out not even half an hour before. Damn humans, they get so uptight over losing a few dollars in bets.. They do realize there's more to live for, I hope.
Blinking, he noticed the man was staring at him, so he simply cleared his throat, shrugging his shoulders to readjust his blue jean jacket. "Yeah, I swear. I could see this far from my nose. Just that far. You know what I nearly did? I almost walked into a wall. And what did I actually do? I apologize profusely to it. I swear!" He grinned when the man started to chortle out a laugh, slapping his knee. "Come on man, don't laugh! I am being serious, so help me God. I apologized, I said 'Oh, I'm sorry! I could not see you there.' Then I realized it was a wall. But the best part? The best part was another girl on the street next to me acted like the wall and simply said 'Oh that's okay, I'm over here anyway. That's the bank you're talking to.'"
Seiko couldn't help but grin when the man literally fell from his stool laughing, laughing softly himself under his breath. The masculine enjoyed making others laugh, especially while drunk, mostly because they always gave different reactions. Leaning over the counter he jumped up onto it before dropping to the other side, offering his hand out to him with his same calm, yet goofy grin. "Hey, sorry. The last drink you had is on me, sound good?" Well, of course it sounded good. Who didn't accept free liquor?
Smiling softly the wolf looked around the room. It may not have been much to look at, but he was happy with his bar, he really was. He was not the owner, but he was the manager, and frankly, he thought he was doing pretty damn good considering he was in Milax. So what the crowd around here may not be that appealing, no one had been killed in here since he'd taken over. And that alone was a feat.
Flicking his emeralds back to the waitress he worked with he allowed his eyes to scan over her form, idly brushing a silver curl from his eyes. To say the least, Aimiya enjoyed Kiki's company, and was infinitely grateful for it. She helped him relax, and was someone he trusted, someone he cared for dearly. It brought a warmth to his chest to see her smiling; the crowd tonight wasn't as... grabby, as usually.
The man turned his eyes to the doorway when he heard it open however, once again shifting to be able to stretch now, lifting his long arms well above his head which caused his T-shirt to hug tightly to his torso. A black haired woman. That was not uncommon. Hell, he would borderline call it common, and with that thought he simply turned his back to her before jumping back over the counter, plopping onto the other side with a grace easily betraying his wolven nature. Not that the humans were ever smart enough to piece two and two together..
But the woman seemed uncomfortable. At least, Seiko thought so. She also seemed ... emotionless. Horribly so. As if giving off an aura of death, and not in the form of threatening others but instead in the form of it being her own death. Something just... was not right. Silver brows furrowed as he noticed her looking at him. It was far from uncommon, he was a bit of a flirt around the bar after all, but there was something in her gaze that unsettled him, sent goosebumps down his arms.
It hit him as she was turning to leave. She was the face from his dreams, or whatever you wanted to call the dreams where he would wake up moaning. But that did not make sense. Sei had never seen her before, and he knew this for a fact. His interest piqued higher, the brute walked slowly down the counter until he reached the end of it, slipping around it after telling his coworker he was taking break. The wolf wanted to understand what was going on, why he knew her.
Following her, he shifted to very gently tap her should before giving a small smile, almost sheepishly so. "Uh, hi. I saw you come in the bar but you .. well. Kind of obviously left right away." The taller moved to run a hand back through his hair, still smirking very softly as electric greens held a soft, calm light to them. It wasn't that he didn't sense the unwanted presence of her, oh god no. He definitely was picking up on the 'don't fucking touch me' aura, but Sei simply wasn't afraid of it. The man was confident in his size and skills, and guessing from her stature her true identity would not be far above average. "If you'd like, I could bring you something to eat. You look kind of hungry, and it would be on me. No big deal."
Another friendly smile as he took a careful step back, not wanting to encroach on her space. He knew very well how possessive most were of their personal space, and he was not about to violate that. Something was flickering in his mind, like a feeling he should understand, but the man ignored it. There was no point in trying to pinpoint what his dreams were telling him when he'd tried so many times before. Instead, he simply wanted one answer. Why this dream girl was suddenly actually here.

Footfalls - soft and graceful. Wolven. Her body instinctively reacted, shoulders tensing the slightest bit. It wasn't uncommon for people to try to come up from behind her and take advantage of her where they thought she couldn't see. Well - no, she couldn't see. Not with her eyes at least. But she could see with her sense of touch, her sharp hearing. This time, however, the footfalls were a different rhythm than a threat; not overly slow, not extremely rushed. Only an eager pace. What did they want? There was a light tap to her shoulder, causing her steps to pause; while her bodice slightly tensed on instinct, threatening to turn around and lash, she exhaled slowly, a puff of steam wisping through her lips. She did not turn all the way; she only turned her cranium slowly, slightly - just so whoever it was, was in her peripheral vision.
Judging from his tone of voice, he was a gentleman. The voice itself was also familiar. It was, of course, different from anything she could remember. But that black and silver silhouette in her dreams had the same voice; slightly colder, harsher, but still practically the same. Why was it so? So much familiarity couldn't be mere coincidence. It took her a moment for his words to catch up to her and register in her mind. Her gaze shifted slightly, barely having him in her full view; however, she practically stared through him. The numbness that nipped at her was beginning to grow extraordinary, even for her standards. Who was he? She never saw him in her life; only in her wicked nightmares. Why did he matter?
Eventually, her mind returned to the situation at hand. Yes, she had left immediately. Perhaps it would be polite to actually respond rather than look past him with her empty moonstones. "It seems your customers would rather me gone," she commented rather expressionlessly, as if she was beyond life - as if she was dead. Life passing her by, her standing still. Decaying. She blinked slowly, glancing up at him so that silver met green. The familiarity could have shocked her, stunned her - if she hadn't gone numb. Her voice still soft, low, she added, "You seem to be a very benign spirit," while it was a compliment, her tone of voice remained unchanged. Then, she continued. "Can you explain to me, why you find it important that I seem hungry?" After all, she was only a stranger. Why did it matter to him if she starved? He seemed bright enough of a man - wolf - to understand that any amount of kindness to her would not necessarily gain them her business.
She turned again now, more toward the streets. Her gaze dulled again; she had nowhere to go, other than leave the city. Which she could not comprehend why she had allowed her sense of direction to lead her so deep into it. Hospitality was nice, she supposed. It never lasted, though; because nothing ever lasted. Especially happiness. That was only an illusion, right? An illusion to make people care. Without really thinking, she spoke again, her voice the same, not intending to be offensive or anything. Just a curious inquiry. "Is it natural for you to care?" To care about someone who doesn't care about themselves. To care about someone who would rather be rotting in the ground. "It must be nice if it is," she almost seemed to fade at this point, her voice softening ever so lightly, her silver optics seeming to be without gleam.
Blinking slowly once more, she glanced over at him. Her lips seemed to want to smile - but they couldn't. "Oh," still without emotion, "Pardon me. I will accept your hospitality, but only if you are certain it is no burden to you." If it was even the slightest burden, she might as well leave. She had always been a burden. No need to infect every person she met, every person who was kind to her. Once again, she seemed to stare past him, her world lingering on the brink of death's whispers.

Blue's Descendant|| Vagabond || 3 || 23 || Single"The pull on my flesh was just too strong It stifled the choice and the air in my lungs Better not to breathe then to breathe a lie 'Cause when I open my body I breathe a lie"
Well, that was slightly unnerving, to be looked at but not looked at. His brow furrowed just the slightest bit as he still kept his small smirk to his lips. It wasn't every day that a woman simply showed no interest in him, not even friendly. This woman.. she simply had no interest in anything it seemed like. A walking corpse. And judging from the quick once over he gave her, her bodice was beginning to show the signs of neglect. She was not eating well, nor enough for her. It made him more determined to at least be able to get a meal into her, if not her name included.
At the woman's lyrics, he simply shrugged, closing his eyes momentarily as he allowed his hands to slip into his jacket's pockets, that same easy going smirk to his lips. "Honestly, I don't give a rat's ass what they think at the moment. I've had enough issues with them tonight I'm tempted to just close the bar down and call it quits til tomorrow." Sei kept his tone light however, so the woman would be able to tell he was at least semi joking around. Though he honestly was annoyed with his tenants tonight. They had not been all to kind to his counter top...
Her compliment surprised him however, and Aimiya blinked. It was spoken emotionlessly, yes, but he understood it well, almost like it were simply second nature to him. The next sentence however brought a smile to his lips. "Thank you, and I want you fed because.. well. No one should go hungry. I don't like seeing anyone going hungry, men, women, children, anyone." A small twitch of the shoulders before he gave a slightly warmer smile instead of the half smirk, emeralds showing his usual brotherly persona, the one that simply wanted to help. "So please, allow me to make you something. I swear it won't be poisoned or drugged, but if you do not trust me you can watch me every step of the way."
But yet again as he watched, she faded, and it left the man with a bad taste in his mouth. Seiko wasn't fond of the types who were perpetually depressed, and she obviously seemed that way. Yet instead of wanting to turn away from her, she made him want to help her. He wanted to try and fix whatever had broken her so badly. That familiarity was eating at him, and it actually bothered him, made him fidget. He didn't like this. He purposely kept himself somewhat detached from everyone around him. The brute did not want to get attached at all currently.
The huntress' words caught him by surprise, electric emeralds widening as he watched her. He remained silent for a few seconds before offering another soft smile. She was interesting to say the least.. "For me, it is. I really do not take pleasure in seeing other's hurt, so I want to help. I care a little about everyone I meet, unless they give me a reason not to." This woman was strange, but in a good way.. sort of.
Then, she finally accepted what he said, and he gave a grin that allowed the slightly hint of teeth to show before he reigned himself back down. "Good! Good. I am not sure if you favor meat like most of us, but I do suggest our steak. Steak, hamburgers, and then probably our pizza, at least in order for the meats." The taller turned back to face the bar before pausing, glancing over his shoulder. "And it is on me, I swear. Don't worry about the bill at all. Eat and drink as much as you would like to."

Despite the light-toned response from the male, the maiden's mind remained dark and cold, like a forsaken expanse of barren, winter-frozen land, deep in the night. The lands of what was once Antarctica, she supposed. While she knew he was at least halfway joking, her moonstones dropped slightly, the darkness swirling like ghosts. Spirits and ghouls of her pain, the pain she couldn't handle. The pain sending her into this numbed turmoil. Was it really because of the pain, or because she was weak? That 'rat's ass' he referred to - what was it like to care? Or was it to not care? It had been so long since she had pondered past the blackness in her soul that she couldn't tell the difference between caring and not caring about life and its events. Was the numbness a result of caring or being carefree? Why was it so difficult to answer?
Instead of answering her own questions, she ended up responding to the male. Without thinking, she murmured, "I apologize," as if it was her fault that his customers were being inconsiderate of him this evening. Or was she apologizing for the fact that he was wasting his time speaking to a walking corpse? Dead wolf walking. Huh. She couldn't complain about how it sounded.
No one should go hungry? Perhaps she could have scoffed. Perhaps. She supposed it was a good thing, for his sake, that he hadn't seen her earlier in her life. Starved to the point where she could barely hunt, yet no motivation to try to keep herself any healthier than that. She knew he had been looking her over - not in the perverted manner, but just to know her physical condition. Even through her rather thick clothing, her body was deteriorating faster than it was recovering. She never bothered to notice, though. What purpose did it do? All she knew was that she was barely alive, but better off than before she had been captured.
Then he basically pleaded with her to let him feed her. At the mention of poisoning or drugging - abusing her through food, basically - she almost shrugged. Almost. Honestly, it didn't matter much to her that her life could easily end if this male was lying. He seemed trustworthy, but it's the least suspicious are those that are the ones who can get away the easiest. Did she even care? No. She didn't. Because the only thing that ever kept her going, kept her on the brink of life, teetering over the edge of death yet clinging on, was the scent. The scent accompanying the song. A beautiful, soft, melodic existence - that led her throughout her life, that called to her. That was the only thing that kept her going. If it wasn't for that, perhaps she would have committed suicide a long time ago. No. She would have. No doubt. So the promise of no imminent harm from her food - well, that didn't faze her much at all. Thus, she didn't quite reply.
Caring for the good of everyone. Was that who she was supposed to be? A kind and caring child. What was her destiny before her life took a turn for the worse? She caught a glimpse of his soft smile; if only she could return it to him. But what were her smiles worth in the end? Lies. Lies of being okay when she was dead inside; lies of feeling better when she was only feeling worse. Her smiles were empty. Hollow. Worthless. So there was no point in smiling back. A reason to not care. Funny. She was fairly certain her entire existence gave off the air of 'it's pointless to care about me.' She never expected anyone to keep up with her; she expected everyone to give up on her. Because what was she worth? She had something to offer Kurai - but after he betrayed her, she had nothing left. Not even needy packs wanted her.
At his reaction to her acceptance, however, she blinked. He obviously didn't see a reason to stop caring. Her head tilted the slightest bit. Strange wolven boy. She still chose to follow him, however; she probably would end up regretting it, though. The very back of her mind seemed to whisper to her, telling her not to go. But when did she ever care about what was best for her? The familiarity was fuzzy; he was much different from her nightmares. He wasn't cold or harsh or emotionless at all. He was all.. at least mostly happy, she supposed. But it was there. She could feel the tugs on the very last threads on her mutilated heart. So she stuck close to him; not to the point where their bodies could touch, but just enough to where he was on the brink of her personal space. Enough to keep him near in case the both of them made a bad choice in keeping her in the bar's atmosphere. She trusted no one, despite her mind screaming at her to trust him. Why should she trust a bloodied, death-filled nightmare? Those glowing green eyes.. Only a shade away from Kurai's. She staggered a moment but quickly regained herself, hoping not to display weakness, especially emotional.
She turned her attention back to the present. "Steak sounds.. fine," she responded softly, tone unchanging, "Just fine." Then, at his offer to let her eat whatever she wanted, however much she wanted - she paused for a moment. That wasn't a good offer. If it wasn't for him pleading and her stomach being oddly hungry, she would have left. So 'eating as much as she wanted' basically implied she would eat nothing at all. Because she would rather starve. Then again - she almost sighed - she needed to keep her strength up, especially now that she was on noble territory.
Taking a few steps to lessen the gap between them, slightly, she murmured, not quite certain if she wanted him to hear or not, "Can I.. eat in a more secluded area?" She wanted to get back into her wolf form, even if temporarily. It was increasingly uncomfortable being in human form for so long. Would he even care to even mull over her request? Her voice lowered again, her gaze dulling and dropping once more. "Do you know of any decent places for," she hesitated. For what? A monster? A suicidal animal? "For a wolf to spend a night or so?" She didn't plan on staying - but precautions did help one in life. She could only plan ahead and prevent higher chances of death for as long as the urge to commit suicide didn't overwhelm a flower maiden's song.
She glanced up again - watching him from behind. What made him so happy? So easy-going? Moreover - what made him care about her? She could tell he was uncomfortable with her presence; probably not in the more common ways, but certainly uncomfortable. Perhaps she could ponder on, but honestly - she was more aware of the eyes burning into her back.

So early in the morning. It was still dark, as usual. Dimmed moonstones never faltered, peering through the clouded windows. Darkest before dawn. Still in wolven form, the alabaster huntress had woken up approximately half an hour or so previously. It was around five forty-five in human time at this point - and a slight unease had crept into her atmosphere. She had woken up earlier, around the time that her rather new companion had informed her that he was going to run errands and would have been back more than half an hour ago at the latest. The vagabond had requested she inform their female friend upon her waking, since she had been feeling ill. Now, however, time had pressed too far without a sign of his return.
Finally blinking, her posture slowly shifted from laying restlessly to being on her paws - albeit still rather unstable from her lack of good health. Leaving probably wasn't the best idea, considering the fact that she had only recently accepted this new home and her recovery was as slow as the increase in comfort for her residency. However, it was unlike him to be late like this. Stepping lightly, so as to not alert the other female, pure white silhouette slinked from the corners of the shadowed room to the stairs and eventually pressing through the trap doors.
The outside was cold - winter slowly preparing to set in. Her fur was thinned from malnutrition still, but the chill did little to affect her numbed bodice. Movements still sluggish, she lifted her cranium the slightest bit, lobes swiveling. His scent wasn't that fresh, but it wasn't stale either. It was strange, though; he should have been walking down the street if things were well at all. The clouds in her mind shifted slightly, threatening to pressure the barrier that kept her emotions away from her. Nearly oblivious, however, she began to walk, her nostrils keeping track of his scent. Hopefully leading her to him before dawn arrived.

"I will not speak of your sins There was a way out for him The mirror shows not Your values are all shot"
The last thing Sei consciously remembered was walking home from the grocery store, carrying his two paper bags in either arm. He remembered choosing meats that he thought his new guest would perhaps like, and also the common ones for himself and his usual housemate. And he remembered purchasing a few odds and ends for Velvet Gold... But then everything went blank. Clenching his eyes closed, a hand moved to press to his temple. Right.. He'd been struggling with a blinding migraine for the past few hours. He'd left because he hadn't wanted to wake the alabaster female with his soft sounds of pain and pills... But that didn't explain where he was. Shouldn't he be home?
Of course, to anyone that was walking by the male it was obvious why he was confused, because he wasn't conscious. In fact, the silver haired male was slumped against a wall, his groceries tumbled out around him as a lone cat made a meal of the fallen meat. It was obvious from the occasional twitching of his limbs and expressions that he was dreaming, however, and they were not pleasant dreams.
The more time that passed, the darker his dreams became. They twisted from him simply being confused to agonizing flashbacks that the man could not place, the faces and blood that swam in his vision leaving a sickening feeling in the pit of his stomach. And as he saw a wolf struck down in front of him he cried out in agony, his heart breaking. Sei had no idea who it was, but he screamed in his nightmare, groaning softly in the waking world as he slumped over onto the ground, curling into a ball. His soft sounds of pain continued as the nightmare continued, gradually growing worse as his twitching and sounds of pain grew more frequent.

His scent was getting stronger.. Her pace sped up the slightest bit, about the fastest she could muster without allowing herself to exert too much force on her bodice. Where was he? She was getting closer.. she could tell - her paw-steps slowed to a stop. It was him - against the wall. On the ground. Her silver optics blinked; while her natural instincts screamed at her to rush to his side, her numbed existence merely padded slowly up to him. Fact to the matter was, there was no blood. There was nothingn to hint that it was life-threatening; he was twitching in a manner similar to restless slumber. Nightmares.
Upon reaching him, she noticed his signs of pain were growing more prominent and frequent. Trapped. As his body tightened up, making him seem to shrink in a way, the pallid huntress closed the gap between them with a slow but nearly deathly grace, time ticking with absolution yet a presence of just certainty. Lowering her muzzle carefully, she gently pressed her nose against his cheek before pressing the rest of her maw against the base of his neck, gently nuzzling him in attempts to wake him. Without a sound the entirety of her time, she brushed her tail against his arm, eventually pressing her nose into his forehead - hoping she could leave a rope for him to grasp to pull himself out of his terrors.

"But oh, my heart was flawed I knew my weakness So hold my hand Consign me not to darkness"
Pain broke over the male the longer the nightmares went on, cold sweat beading across his exposed skin, albeit it wasnt much since his jean jacket was hiding most of it. But as he felt a cold dampness press against his skin he jerked away from it, whimpering as the nightmare morphed the touch into a harsh, pain filled slash. However, the touch against his neck had the masculine jerking awake with a sharp gasp, trying to shove himself away from the source of the touch only to groan when his head slammed back into the wall, hands moving to clutch at where it had slammed.
Clenching greens closed as his vision swam Seiko drew in fast, shallow breaths, clinging to the warmth of the fae's presense to try and bring himself back into the present. Yet the blood still swam in his mind's eye, the screams of the ones he, for some reason, loved echoed in his ears.. "I am sorry." The man's words left his lips as a soft whisper despite the pained smile to his lips, allowing his emeralds to crack open once more. "I.. must have passed out."

Well that wasn't the best of sounds when he jerked awake - but honestly, it achieved what she originally wanted. Him to wake up. She didn't quite expect a gentle reaction anyway, but a head smashing into the wall wasn't exactly the best result. As he finally began to collect his bearings, she nodded silently and slowly, signaling that she understood. Her gray gaze continued to create contact with his green from time to time, signaling a stable reality and checking to see if the nightmares were fading from his vision.
Turning slightly, she nudged the bags with her nose, signaling that there had been some turmoil in the physical world in his absence as well. Still not quite comfortable with her vocal chords, she basically just did her best to signal that she would accompany him in her wolven form, as if like a pet, as she nudged his chest lightly - trying to get him to get up sooner. The less attention they drew to themselves, the better, after all. Besides - he needed to get home and rest.

"So crawl on my belly 'til the sun goes down I'll never wear your broken crown I took the road and I fucked it all away Now in this twilight how dare you speak of grace"
Everything still seemed off to the man, but that was beyond normal from when he woke up with nightmares. Honestly, at least this time he had not physically lashed out... Heaven knew how well that would have gone over if he'd seen the wolfess as a threat and attacked her. Unfortunately, he had a feeling she would not have done much to defend herself, and for some reason that tugged at his subconscious. It made that ache in his heart worse, the lingering affects of the nightmares... Seiko shook it off. He needed to appear at least somewhat with it, less he wanted her dragging his ass home.
Looking to his groceries with blurry eyes he gave a tiny laugh he didnt feel as he slowly sat up at her nudge, gathering his groceries up, leaving the meat the cat had began eating though. "Alright, I understand.. Can you stay near my legs though..? I.. wont be very steady on my feet right now." As much as he hated to admit it, it was the truth. Greens still swam and shifted when they felt the need, leaving him with a strong sense of vertigo. At least it wasn't enough to cause him to be sick, this time.

So unstable. It was best they get home rather quickly; the last thing they needed was him to pass out again, and it was still dark. The sun tended to rise later and later each day with this weather, and she would rather they both got home before being exposed and vulnerable for too long. Normally, she would be fine - aware that she was the emaciated and weakened one; however, at this point, it seemed that he was the less capable one than she was. Which caused a logical concern; they didn't need anymore trouble.
At his request, she nodded again, pressing her tail against his legs. That was her intention anyway, but a confirmation was fine any day. She would still lead, however - her snow-white pelt prominent enough to ensure he could follow even through his dizziness rather than tripping over her. She lightly pulled at his pant leg with her jaw, before turning around and slowly heading in the direction from which they came.

Tightening his grip on his groceries as he stood the man nearly wanted to curse. It was not like him to be the needy one of a friendship; normally, he was the giver, not the taker. And having to depend on the female when she was already so weak herself... It went against his nature and rubbed him the wrong way. Go figure. Smiling softly as he felt her tail against his legs he started walking, carefully, with her after she'd pulled his pant leg, blinking constantly to try and clear his vision.
Though.. a question occured to him. "How did you know to come and look for me..?" Aimiya's voice was soft and curious, even as he stumbled slightly over his own feet. Thank god he hadn't decided to pick up eggs.

Every time his shakiness seemed to spike, she would pause, allowing them to have little gap between them, in case he did fall over. Her alabaster fur began to fluff up slightly, the wind running its fingers through her coat and triggering a bodily reflex. Such a thin layer of fragile warmth. However, her mentality practically ignored it, almost oblivious to the chill in the air still. Even with her slightly enlarged figure, however, she still appeared tiny.
At his question, and his stumble, she paused and turned slightly to make sure he wouldn't fall - or at least, if he did, she would be there to cushion it. Blinking, she glanced up at him, recognizing that he probably couldn't completely notice it other than just a movement in his vision. "You never returned," was her quiet but simple answer, the death in her tone still there as her vocal chords continued to rasp from lack of use. That was all she needed to say; she expected him to be smart enough to figure it out on his own. She turned around, glancing back to make sure he was still following, until they got to the door of the bar.
